Rwanda-owned test service

One screening record, from the desk to response

Rwanda POE Sentinel helps authorised teams record primary and secondary screening, queue work during network interruptions, and coordinate alert actions from the operational record.

Choose what you need

Complete your health declaration before you reach the desk

Anyone entering or leaving Rwanda through a point of entry can answer the health questions on their own phone. It takes a few minutes, needs no account and no app, and is available in nine languages, including English, French and Kinyarwanda.

  1. Answer the questionsYour details, your journey and how you feel today. Nothing is installed on your phone.
  2. Receive your health passA pass with a code appears on your screen. It is valid for 24 hours and for one check by an officer.
  3. Show it at the screening deskThe officer scans the code, your answers appear on the officer's screen, and you are not asked the same questions twice.
  4. If follow-up applies to youYou may receive a short health check by e-mail, or a call from health staff, for up to 21 days. Most travellers are asked twice: on the first day and a week later. Travellers who report symptoms, or who come from an area with an outbreak, are asked more often, up to once a day.

Built around the screening journey

Primary screening records the first encounter. When further assessment is needed, the referral and secondary case continue from that record. Role-scoped dashboards and reports use the submitted operational data.

  • Traveller health declaration and health pass, scanned at the desk
  • Officer-assisted primary screening
  • Secondary assessment and disposition
  • Offline capture with queued synchronisation
  • Traveller follow-up for up to 21 days, by e-mail or a call from health staff
  • Alerts, alert-action follow-ups and aggregated reporting

Work can continue during a connection gap

The Android app can keep queued screening work on the assigned device and attempt to send it when a connection returns. Before leaving the device, check whether each record is saved locally or confirmed by the server.
